Why vote for Ceris?
"The Llanfihangel Ystrad area has played an important role in my life and the local community has shaped me to be the person I am today.
I believe it is very important to have new, young representatives on the County Council to ensure that fresh ideas and different perspectives are heard as part of any decision-making process within the Council and to ensure that the views of young people are represented effectively.
I am a 'grassroots' person that is honest and fair and want to work hard for our area within the Council and in the community. It is a privilege and an honour to have the opportunity to represent you as a Councillor."
Ceris' priorities
- One of my priorities if elected is to give young people a voice. I feel we are often a generation that is forgotten about. Many decisions made by the County Council are going to affect the younger generation for decades, so I think it's important that our voices are heard - we are the future of our county and our local areas.
- It is important to be open to listen to views and understand the concerns of local residents - they are our community and we all have to work together.
- The future of our areas is local businesses, large and small, and the local economy must be supported to create opportunities for employment.
- An important priority will be suitable homes for young people and families in our rural area. This is extremely important in order to retain these individuals within our society and to ensure the prosperity of the Welsh language.
- Another priority is to ensure the availability of comprehensive holistic services to the vulnerable members of an aging population within our community.
