Why vote for Chris?
"The next local elections will be held on 5 May and a new 2-seat electoral ward has been confirmed for this area which includes Beulah, Llangoedmor, Llechryd, Betws Ifan, Bryngwyn, Cenarth, Cwm Cou, Llandygwydd and Ponthirwaun.
I live in Cenarth with my wife and two teenage children. I am a teacher at Ysgol Bro Teifi and an active member of the community, including with the Cenarth Eisteddfod, Cenarth Primary School, Nawmor Nursery, Capel Bach Cenarth and I am involved with two local businsses, "Siop y Ffrydiau Cyf" and "Cerbydau Cenarth Cyf".
I ask for your support in representing Beulah and Llangoedmor ward on Ceredigion County Council. If elected, I will seek to ensure that the needs of our communities are highlighted on the Council floor. My background and experiences across many sectors will be beneficial to the role, including in business, education, the local parish council, sport and leisure, and care of the elderly. My extensive experiences and strong local knowledge of the area gives me a solid foundation to be an effective councillor and representative for this ward."
Chris' priorities
- Work with relevant agencies to look at introducing measures to mitigate the effects of flooding along the river Teifi. To reduce our carbon footprint by ensuring that public sector food procurement is local, seasonal and sustainable.
- Boosting the rural economy is a priority for me. If there are good work opportunities locally, then this will attract and retain young people in our areas.
- Campaign for affordable homes in the area, especially for young people.
- Improve broadband and mobile connectivity across the ward.
- Support further safety measures to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
- Improve the services and resources available to the elderly and most vulnerable in our society.
