Why vote for Elin?

"I was born and raised on a farm in Llanwrtyd Wells but I now live in Llanbadarn Fawr with my husband and three children who attend Penweddig School.

In facing Covid over the last two years, we have all realised the importance of the local area, our community and its strength. I want to see communities shape their own futures and would like to work with you to bring new ideas to reality which will improve our local area and community. If the people of this ward were to trust me and elect me as their County Councillor I would hope that I could make a positive change in our communities.

I am a determined person that is honest and fair and I am willing to work diligently on behalf of the communities of this ward. I'd be grateful of your support on 5 May.

Elin's priorities

  • Continue to campaign for the protection of the green space between Llanbadarn and Waunfawr and support people's access to outdoor activities.
  • Reduce our carbon footprint by ensuring that public sector food procurement is local, seasonal and sustainable.
  • To improve and develop opportunities for independent businesses to strengthen the local economy.
  • Support further safety measures to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
  • One of our society's priorities is education: it realises the potential of children, young people and individuals of all ages. I will support opportunities for young people; we need to ensure that employment, living and social opportunities are available for them locally.
  • Encourage and support anyone who wants to get involved with council matters to be heard and represented.
