Launch of report on future of agriculture policy in Wales at the Senedd

Last week NFU Cymru launched its report outlining the key asks for future agricultural policy in Wales.

In an event at the Senedd NFU Wales’s Shaping Welsh Farming’s Future report outlined priorities that are vital to ensure Welsh farming thrives and continues to deliver high quality, affordable food and wider economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits for all the people of Wales, all whilst meeting the sector’s ambition for net zero agriculture by 2040.

Elin Jones MS said: ‘It was great to be able to welcome NFU Wales to the Senedd, to enjoy Welsh produce and to receive the report. This report will provide a strong foundation for the Senedd’s work on agriculture, so that we can protect our food producers, who in turn also protect our environment and our landscape.’
