A recent comprehensive poll by respected opinion pollsters YouGov has delivered a major boost to Ben Lake and Plaid Cymru ahead of the upcoming General Election.
The poll was based on more than 100,000 interviews over seven days and puts Ben Lake ahead of all his rivals, with his support having increased to 32%.
In a surprise finding, YouGov’s poll found that the Conservatives were in the running to take second place in Ceredigion and could overtake the Lib Dems – who polled 21% and 22% respectively.
The full results of the poll in Ceredigion were as follows:
Ben Lake, Plaid Cymru 32%
Liberal Democrats 22%
Conservatives 21%
Labour 13%
Brexit Party 8%
Green 3%
Elin Jones, Plaid Cymru Assembly Member for Ceredigion, said,
