Why vote for Ryan?

"If given the opportunity to represent Llanwenog on Ceredigion County Council, I would honour your vote and work diligently on behalf of everyone in the community.

Born and bred in south Wales, I moved to Alltyblaca three years ago. I am 19 years old and having successfully finished my A-Levels in 2021, I believe I would be able to dedicate my time to accurately represent the varied population we have in Llanwenog, including the under-represented youth population. I currently work in a Lampeter supermarket and volunteer with two incredible organisations - Age Cymru Dyfed and the NHS.

I have a passion for delivering on the needs of local people and think if something needs fixing, I should fix it myself. I am aware of the challenges faced by the rural communities of this Ward, such as the lack of social mobility and lack of public services.

I sincerely hope that I can secure your trust to elect me as your visible and accessible County Councillor on the 5th of May."

Ryan's priorities

  • Public services
    • As a regular user of the T1 bus service, I am aware of the inequity that users now face as a result of service cuts due to the pandemic. I would aim to work with relevant agencies to restore and increase the provision of these services.
  • Road safety
    • Introduce traffic calming measures such as the provision of footways where possible in rural villages for the safety of the public. I would also aim to work with the Welsh Government in introducing safer speed limits in the Ward.
  • Our community
    • The Llanwenog ward is very rural and therefore, at times, can be very isolating. I would work with the community and use any funding available to deliver more accessible community groups in existing public buildings to help promote socialising and prevent loneliness.
  • The environment
    • Reduce our carbon footprint by ensuring that public sector food procurement is local, seasonal and sustainable.
  • Connectivity
    • Improve the area's broadband and mobile connectivity.
